On Saturday 21st May, Little Channels At The Channels Estate, one of the top venues in Essex for intimate weddings, were extremely lucky to witness their Wedding and Events Manager, Dannielle, tie the knot with her husband Spencer.
After postponing not once, but twice due to the pandemic, they were incredibly relived and glad that their special day finally happened, “We thought it never would!” said Dannielle.
Dannielle and Spencer chose Little Channels At The Channels Estate as they didn’t want a large wedding. Instead, their vision was for an intimate ceremony and therefore opted for a wedding breakfast, with a small number of guests, followed by a party in the evening with a sizzling BBQ outside, in the flagstone courtyard of Little Channels At The Channels Estate.
On the day of their wedding, the sun was shining brightly, which added to the occasion as it enabled guests to enjoy the beautiful outdoors and wedding garden, before and after the ceremony.
As a special addition to the day, Dannielle and Spencer hired a saxophone player (Paula Borell) who set the atmosphere perfectly. The staff at Little Channels At The Channels Estate said, “It was lovely to watch the guests mingle, enjoy a drink, and listen to the music of this talented lady, as they soaked in the atmosphere.”
The team at Little Channels At The Channels Estate also said that, “We were so pleased with the wedding and we felt that the day ran incredibly smoothly, mainly due to Dannielle’s and Spencer’s laid-back approach.”

The whole day was wonderful, but I would say that our favourite part was the evening. It felt marvellous to be with our special friends and family all in one place. As we walked around the room, we kept pinching ourselves and thinking how blessed we were to have such amazing people in our lives!
Our colour theme was light blue. We picked our colour premise over two years ago, as our original date was in 2020. Move forward to 2022 and we were just as in love with this colour.
We wanted to go somewhere completely different for our honeymoon and opted for Mexico which is famous for incredible food and chocolate! We booked here because we had never been on holiday to Mexico before and heard it was incredibly unique – which it was! We absolutely loved it!
We wanted to go for a song that was far from the norm, so went for, ‘Never gonna be alone’ by Nickleback. It’s not a classic first dance song, but again, that’s why we chose it!
Our advice for your big day is to relax, go with the flow, and enjoy it. Also, make sure you take time to soak it all up. The day passes so quickly, and you’ll be extremely busy speaking to everyone, so set aside some time with your partner to take a little walk alone.
