A peaceful, private residence, That Amazing Place is an exclusive use venue. This means that when you book your wedding with us, our beautiful 15th Century manor house, along with its Wedding Cottage and 14 deluxe bedrooms (sleeping 31 guests), is exclusively yours for the day and night of your wedding. This total exclusivity gives you the flexibility to plan your wedding day exactly how you want it.

It has been almost a month since we got married at That Amazing Place and we are still not over it! From start to finish, we could not have asked for more. Angie was a great support from the day we booked the venue to the day of our wedding. Angie, Paul and the team were absolutely fantastic hosts and made sure our day ran smoothly and without fault! Our guests thoroughly enjoyed themselves and we couldn’t stop smiling all day. It was the most amazing day and we could not be happier with our decision to marry at That Amazing Place.

We had the most amazing wedding. From the night before in the wedding cottage, to the wedding day and even the day after. Everything ran seamlessly thanks to Angie, Louise and all of the amazing staff. They set everything up and just took the stress out of the whole day so that we could just enjoy ourselves. The grounds are beautiful, the rooms are great and everything was lovely and clean. The communication has been excellent the whole way through and we would love to do it all over again. A special thanks to the owners for being so lovely and welcoming too.

Looking for a wedding venue? Look no further! I honestly don't know where to start with this review. . . That Amazing Place was the second venue we viewed and we instantly fell in love with the building, the grounds and how friendly and welcoming the whole team were. For us it was a huge plus being able to have our dog with us for the whole day and night. He had the night of his life and had a great morning playing with the resident pups as well!We delayed our wedding from March 2021 to November 2022 due to covid and then the arrival of our baby girl and TAP could not have been more accommodating. The whole process from planning to day were seamless and so stress free, they walked us through everything from start to finish.Angie was there the whole day making sure that we knew exactly what was going on and what to do next, with all the excitement we had no idea so this was perfect! I could write an essay on the ways that the staff went above and beyond, but I will list just a few;Having a 7 month old baby there on the day was always going to bring challenges but when she was crying to be held only by me just as I was to walk down the Aisle, one of the lovely team even pushed her around the grounds for me so that the special moment wasn't overshadowed by a screaming baby. Another team member even watched her baby monitor so that we could eat our meal with family as she napped. One of the guys working ensured that we had a couple of our evening food Pizza's left in the room so that we wouldn't go hungry after missing out on our own food! Another actually ferried some of our guests to their hotels when they couldn't get a cab! It truly was the most amazing day. We could not possibly ask for any more. With no minimum guest numbers, That Amazing Place is perfect for an intimate wedding venue.

For a wedding breakfast, we can cater for up to 80 seated guests inside the house or 150 guests in our marquee. If you would prefer something more relaxed without the formality of a traditional sit down meal, we would be very happy to accommodate this.

At That Amazing Place we pride ourselves on offering exceptional customer service. We realise how important your special day is to you and we work closely with you to ensure that you have the wedding day that you have always dreamed of.

We realise how important a delicious meal is on your wedding day. To give you the freedom to create the perfect menu for your taste buds and your budget, we give you the option to choose the caterer that is right for you. From formal wedding breakfasts, to more informal BBQ’s, hog roasts and even afternoon tea, our bespoke catering service means that you can tailor your menu to your needs.

FAQs

Exclusive use of the venue is from 11.30am on the day of the wedding until 10.30am the following morning.

Access to the venue for the bridal party is from 11.30am on the day of the wedding. Suppliers can arrive on site from 3 hours before the ceremony. Wedding guests who are staying overnight at the venue may check in to their rooms from 2pm.

To ensure the quality of the food served, we do not allow the use of external caterers that are not on our preferred supplier list. Instead, we ask that you choose from one of our carefully selected preferred caterers who have package options or will bespoke a menu to your personal requirements and budget.

No, we do not offer the option of corkage, however we have worked very hard to ensure that we can provide our clients with good quality wines at reasonable prices.

We do request that you use one of our preferred caterers, so that we can ensure that the highest quality of food is served to your wedding guests. If you are using the marquee in the evening, you will also be required to use our in-house DJ Herts Events. For all other services, you are free to use your own choice of supplier. We have a list of fantastic suppliers available on our – see preferred suppliers.

Your guests are welcome to leave their cars overnight at their own risk. They must be collected the following morning. The overnight accommodation (charged at £2,500 for all 15 rooms, sleeping 31 guests) is not included in the wedding package price. We keep this separate as couples usually recoup room costs from their guests and it therefore doesn’t need to factor in your wedding budget.

No, you will need to contact the registrar directly to organise and pay for your civil ceremony.

The bar closes and music ends at 11.30pm. The venue closes at midnight to all non-residential guests.
